Happenings at our School

Our 2004 Tumbarumba District PSSA   Swimming Representatives.

Khancoban kids are keen on sport

What children don’t like getting out and about and doing things?

Here we see some of the Khancoban children after the running of cross-country races at Walwa (Victoria) recently.

As part of the Upper Murray Small Schools sporting calendar, Khancoban also competes in a swimming and athletic carnival with children from the neighbouring Victorian small schools.

Our students also join in NSW Primary School Sports Association events through our local Tumbarumba Association. Our 8-12 year olds travel away to carnivals in the pool; at the athletic track; or through the bush for a cross-country.

Being great competitors, each year we have students represent the TPSSA at the Riverina Championships in each of these sports. What a great effort!

Khancoban children also take part in an annual ski camp that adds more sporting skills to their repertoire.
